-Grem started GFA in like 1984, I started N.E.T. in 2002.

(L.A. Crews)-how did u get your nickname????.
-Back in 1985 i was trying to come up with a name. I use to draw alot in school on the back of my homework so one day i drew a character pop dancing, i added some antennas on top of the characters head and called him Electric Bugaloo. Then i drew the character again and this time added antennas and pointy ears and came up with the name Marshin instead of Martian. I liked it cause Marshin has the word Mars in it, made more sense.Then my homie called me Mad Marshin. Then it went to The Mad Marshin but that was too long to be tagging so it went back to Mad Marshin, still too long. Then to Marshin but when i joined GFA Grem said write Marsh, its shorter.

-I was already drawing alot since elementary school but in highschool i saw alot of graffiti drawings going around so i sa id i gotta try this.

-Spray paint, mean streaks, sharpie's, magnum markers, chisel tips, plus others.

-Oh man, Geso, Sleez, Chaka, Bruno, Skill, Sk8, Precise, Acme, Plast, Frame, Panic, Risk, CBS,LOD,SH,K2S,DTK,TDK,OFA,CFK,UTI,GFA, just to mention a few. I could go on, too much to list really.

-Yeah i'm still in the game. Keepin it legal though. I may catch some illegals, maybe, depends.

-Nope. Never did the bus thang.

-Not r eally. OFA hit me up once but I didn't want none. GFA had only like maybe 10 active writers and OFA had like maybe 100-200. So do the math hahaha.

-Sure. Back in 1991 Me, Pride and Dcline went on a 2 a.m. mission to the Venice pit. Soon as we walked in, there was like 40-50 Venice Shorline Crip gangsters partying. I went straight ahead to the first wall and the other 2 homies went off to another wall so i was painting solo in front of the Shoreline Crips. So I
started to do my black and silver MARSH throwy. When I was about to draw out the
'R' a lil shorty from the crips came up to me and said I was about to go over
their tag. I asked him where, cause all i saw was scribbles on the wall. He said
right there, VSLC in dark blue. I turned to look back and all the crips were lookin
at me. So I said to the crip youngster, "lemme finish my piece and i' ll give you
a brand new spray can with a fat cap". He said, "alright" and walked back to his
group. So i finished my MARSH piece, on the way out handed lil crip his new can
and fat cap and I left. I went back the next day in the day time to take pictures of my piece and it was still untouched, it wasn't crossed out or anything.

- I see alot of way out styles, stuff that don't even look like graffiti letters really but like robots n shit. I'm diggin alot of the new stuff. Also nowadays there's alot more surveillance cameras and snitches on cell phones.
